Effective Business Writing (2 Days)
Course Overview
Communication plays a vital role in our everyday lives. As organizations seek for development and excellence, it is important to equip their human resources with impactful communication skills. This workshop will ultimately help the participants assess their own writing for them to gain self-confidence in relaying messages to internal and external customers.
Course Objectives
The course will enable the participants to:
- Be familiar with the strategies in effective writing
- Know the dos and don’ts in effective business writing
- Evaluate current capacity in business writing
- Improve capability in writing business communication materials
The Journey’s Roadmap
stage 1: participants to understand the theories, concepts, processes business writing and to assess their own writing style which will be further aligned to the business needs
stage 2: participants to learn and understand the fundamentals of effective business writing through class discussions, theories and processes
stage 3: participants to apply learning through enhancing grammar knowledge and editing skills
Pre- and Post-Training Evaluation Tools
Pre-Training: Participants are required to submit a business written correspondence to gauge current business writing skills.
Post-Training: Participants will be asked to re-create the business correspondence and apply the learnings as necessary. These will be critiqued via group.Course Outline

Module Two: The Key Elements of Effective Business Writing

Module Three: Focusing on Writing Effective and E-mails
