Introduction to Creativity
Globalization introduces a lot of change in the business landscape which drives progressive organizations to develop creative thinking as a leaders and people mindset. Being creative involves immersing oneself in the problem; looking broadly from connections – in the past, what other organizations do, brainstorming with others; letting ideas incubate; and picking one or more options to pilot.
A creative employee is one who is able to come up with a lot of new and unique ideas, easily makes connections among previously unrelated notions and tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming setting. At the end of the two-day workshop, the participants will be able to –

The two-day workshop will be interactive and are inclusive of pre and post assessment to measure learning progress. 50% of the workshop revolves around learning by doing, 25% on coaching and mentoring and 25% discussion on theories and conceptual framework. Participants will be expose to business cases review, and structured learning exercises.
The company shall be responsible in reproducing the course manuals and provide LCD projectors, easel papers, marking pens and candies to be given as tokens during the exercise.
Vivian Cruz is a former senior business leader with exposure in selected Asian market, Vivian Cruz, the Director for Organization Development of Southeast Asia Speakers and Trainers Bureau and the Chief Organization Capability Officer of i-Leap Management and Consultancy Services, Inc., has been in the field of human resources function for more than two decades. A versatile in her field of competence, she has in-depth knowledge and skills in all facets of the function – talent acquisition; talent management, development and retention; total rewards; talent engagement; organization development; human capital management system; employer branding; employee and industrial relations; HR analytics, corporate social responsibility and stakeholder management.
Vivian has been instrumental in the success of the regional operating headquarter and shared services office set-up for a top brand cruise line, making it fully operational in 6-months. As an Asia HR Business Leader for an American power generation company, she led the region’s accreditation as places to work by Investors in People, where the accrediting body was amazed on how company values were embedded to the daily lives of the employees and its talent development initiatives being part of the organization’s culture which led to appointment of Filipino talents in regional and global roles. She is expose to the manufacturing set up and has been expose to managing a unionized environment and was able to settle an automotive battery plant’s intercompany labor union dispute.
Collaborative, with business acumen and a connector, Vivian possess mastery in business partnering which enabled her to be recognized by her company of affiliations as one of its outstanding leaders.
Prior to venturing into business consultancy, she was connected with Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd, as the HR Director for Asia Pacific managing Philippines, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia HR operations; AES as Asia HR Business Partner covering Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam; Assistant Vice President for Manufacturing HR for the Ramcar Battery Group
She completed her certification program in Project Management at the Asian Institute of Management, Strategic Leadership Course on line via Columbia University and a certified Hay (Job Evaluation methodology) practitioner. She is also an IECL (Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership) Certified Organizational Coach. She took up Liberal Arts and Commerce, major in Political Science and Accounting at MS Enverga University Foundation where she graduated Cum Laude.
At present, she acts as Executive Coach for Senior Business Leaders and Lead Facilitator of the following executive and leaders learning program – Coaching and Mentoring, Leading Strategic
Growth, Maximizing People’s Network Contribution, Building Executive Presence, and Communicating – the Executive Way. She also develops and implement learning programs suited to business needs and is a sought-after resource person for HR Learning Conference, specifically in the areas of organization development, total rewards and employee engagement. She also acted as resource persons to the following Philippine HR Conference – 1st Total Rewards Conference, 1st Conference on Data Protection, Labor Relations Congress and 1st Compensation and Benefits Congress. As a consultant, she is a member of the Philippine Advocate for Consultants and Trainers.
Vivian has been rolling out programs on innovation, critical and creative thinking with SM Development Corporation, Generali Life Assurance Philippines, Jardine Schindler Philippines and Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd.
Off work, Vivian is active in civic organization and is presently a volunteer of Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin de Porres in Bustos, Bulacan and the President of BYSMP – Blessed the Children Foundation in Tondo, Manila.
